General Membership News:
Good news on memebrship this month, we lost one member and signed a new one. Under
the present economic conditions this time of the year, that is just great news. Golf course nation-wide
are suffering financially because of the economy so it is a feather in the cap for all our members
for remaining loyal and hanging in with Green Oaks.
Management:
Not much happening with Green Oaks right now. Still some nice days to golf but they are a lot
fewer since the rains have come. We have aur new board member, Greg Bryant, who is replacing
Vern Hemby. Welcome aboard Greg and to you Vern, our fondest wishes and thanks and we are
looking forward to having you back soon. A reminder...the bad weathr does not affect the Acron Room.
Business is good so come on down and enjoy your friends and some holiday cheer. For your
information: Effective January 1, 2009 Green Oaks will be required to charge the standard 7%
sales tax on all good and services except membership dues, and assessments such as handicap
and hole -n- one fees.The sales Tax will also be charged on the annual driving range plan
Holiday Events:Management:
The NEW YEARS EVE PARTY- New Years Eve from 8pm until 2009. Come enjoy your
last hours of 2008 and your first hours of the New Year. We will have an excellent
dance band, Hors d'oeuvres, special drink prices, party favors, fire works and
breakfast. Come on out, bring some freiends and let's kick off the New Year in style.
$30.00 per couple, $20.00 single. The price is right so come on out and support
your club. These events take a lot of work and cost a lot of money and they are
all for you. Be part of them. Tickets on sale in the proshop and Acorn Room.

Steak Night:
Steak night January 15th, only one steak night in January due to New Years on
the First Thursday. Come on out on January 15th. Bring a steak and enjoy all the delux fixings

Stay off the greens when frost is present or the ground is fozen. Always check in with the pro
shop to make sure your actions don't damage the greens for everyone.
