General membership News: The Club membership is holding up very well considering the state of the economy and the less than wonderful golf weather. We would like to welcome Rick Morenze will do our best to give you a quality gold course to play on and good facilities to enjoy when not playing.

Management: Again, the weather has not been conducive to playing much golf so our members just play around the weather and enjoy the hospitality of the Acorn Lounge.

It is time for our members to get ready for the annual General membership meeting and Board Elections. Mark it down, the first Tuesday in April, April 7^th 2009 @ 7PM. There will be three seats open on our seven member board so this is a very important election. Those members of Green Oaks willing to serve please notify Greg in the pro shop and put your name in the hat. The Board of Directors makes the policies for this golf club so if you fell you have something to offer, please run.

Holiday Event: One more holiday event. The Super Bowl, February 1. There will be lots of food. Come have fun , pull for your team and enjoy the festivities. Game starts at approximately 5:00 PM. Fun starts at 11:00 Am. BE HERE! Also, FYI, Wayne has been ordered to shoot the groundhog if it causes us to have six more weeks of this lousy weather.

Steak Nights: February 5^th and 19^th.

From the Superintendent: Sorry we had to keep the greens covered for such a long time but we have to take care of them, so bear with us. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped us to cover and uncover the greens. We couldn't do it without you.
